In 2021, Latasha Currie also known as Peaches, set out to make a difference in the lives of women and young women throughout the world by providing them with tools, resources and the support needed to live positive lives. Since the beginning, The Love Lucent Organization has touch many lives and plans to continue to grow and be a positive force in the communities.

At The Love Lucent Organization, we’re committed to building a society where every woman and young woman can easily realize her worth and potential and achieve her goals of self-love and self-worth in order to reach her full potential. We believe that providing women of all ages and backgrounds with a nurturing environment is essential to their overall development and growth. We believe that today’s young women are tomorrow’s leaders, and through personalized attention and guidance we are essentially providing them with the resources they need to thrive as leaders in years to come.

Our Youth Services
Impacting the lives of young women
At The Love Lucent Organization, we care about what we do and strive to empower the lives of young women in the DMV community through our wide range of programs. We help shape our young women into young leaders of the future so they walk out of our doors prepared to take on whatever comes their way. Take a look at our variety of services, and learn more about everything we have to offer.
Etiquette Classes
Ages 8-16
Teaching young women proper etiquette helps them to feel good about themselves. This will be a monthly in-person and virtual learning experience. We will focus on social etiquette, table manners and personal grooming. Empowering young women with social skills, poise, manners and style will help the to be confident in any setting.
Financial Literacy
Ages 12-16
The Love Lucent Organization believe in teaching financial responsibility at an early age. This will be a monthly in-person and virtual learning experience. We will discuss budgeting, saving, investing and banking. Learning about personal finances will help our young women have a good foundation for financial literacy.
Entrepreneur Workshops
Ages 8-16
With our entrepreneurship workshops we will encourage our young women to think critically. These workshops will help young women to explore personal strengths and areas for development. They will focus on what their interests are, what they are good at and how to create a business plan.
Public Speaking Workshops
Ages 8-16
Our public speaking workshops are geared towards helping young women become comfortable and confident with public speaking. We will provide a supportive and encouraging environment for our young women to organize their thoughts, practice different techniques on how to deliver speeches and how to capture and keep the attention of their audience.
Community Outreach Projects
Ages 8 and up
The Love Lucent Organization empowers young women in the DMV area to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of activities. We pride ourselves on uplifting and giving back to the community. Our community outreach projects provides our young women the chance to get involved in the community and meet new and exciting faces from all walks of life while becoming positive forces in the community.
Empowered Women Empower Women
At the Love Lucent Organization we understand that women thrive when they have other likeminded women in their corner to cheer them on through this journey of life. To us having a genuine sisterhood means that you’ll always have someone when times get tough and when times are great. We encourage sisterhood by hosting various virtual and in-person events. Here are some of the events and activities we host:* Empowerment brunches* Financial Literacy Courses* Spa Days* Fitness and Wellness Sessions* Social Outings and more…The Love Lucent Organization is more than just a Youth Organization - it’s a way of life.
Diamonds & Pearls
Big Sister, Little Sister Mentorship Program
At The Love Lucent Organization, we believe that women are like pearls, cultured and refined and young women are like diamonds. You have to apply a little pressure to get the to where they need to be and that is why we’ve implemented the Diamonds & Peals-Big Sister, Little Sister Mentorship Program. This program is centered on instilling strong values into our young women and providing a safe space for them to expand their mind while being empowered and guided by positive leadership.

A Meal For The Homeless
On Saturday, November 18th, we will be partnering with Chef Crissy Taylor of TayloredTaste for A Thanksgiving Meal For The Homeless- feed the homeless. We are accepting donations and welcoming volunteers. For more details please email lovelucent@yahoo.com.
